keys

You know, I'm really just prolonging posting the actual drawings that I've made recently. I think I'll just post everything from the past until I run out and am forced to post 'real' work. It could also be the fear that someone might steal my work (NOT ALLOWED!) :). And then there's problems with that that I don't want to deal with.....

Anyway, this drawing is self explanatory. These are my old keys. Old keys, as in, from a few years ago, which means this drawing is a few years old. But, hey, I still drew it...

Enjoy!

On a tree

So, if you haven't noticed, I've only been posting old stuff. Well...not entirely becaseu I've posted some new stuff, and I'm sure you won't know! :/ Here's another older one.

My original intention was to have this guy in a tree. But, at the time I couldn't properly draw trees and I figured I'd paint this anyway, and that this was just an initial sketch. I never painted it and never drew that tree. So he's just alone and black and white.

Mouse

I'm posting this because a certain someone said
he really liked it. This isn't what I usually draw,
althoug I like drawing animals. I just wanted to
experiment with fur/hair, and I think it worked out well.

Week

So, I'm going to keep this as a weekly thing. I wanted to do this daily, but my drawings end up mediocre/unfinished/it's stressful/I'm unsatisfied/ etc... This daily thing was also just to start off and have something on here if anyone visits.

Maybe I'll post two a week, we'll see... Anyway... here's another old one..

Some Color

I intended this drawing to be a study of sorts, of a creature. I have never done a study before and wanted to do something simple. So I decided to go for color...which I rarely do, yay! Smart for me... But, I think this turned out pretty well. The creature itself is relatively simple, and so are the colors, but it was good practice to view something from different angles. Now, I'm jumping from this to a moving creature, each drawing showing a layer of the creature- bones, muscle, organs- while it's running and jumping onto a wall. We'll see how that turns out. It's much more complicated, and I don't know why I do this to myself if Istill need more practice, but it's good practice, I suppose. Anyway...Here's the creature study in color.

Here's also a drawing of this creature in movement. I couldn't fit the whole thing on my scanner (yes, that is what I use) so this one is separate. I wish it wasn't because I severely messed up on it, severely, because I decided to use color! Well the hump is at an odd angle, and I made him a bit too chubby. Oh, well, practice makes perfect...

Two Views

So, here's a kind of unfinished drawing. Rather two. Or really, I just don't particularly like the bottom half of the 'finished one,' and after making that decision decided to not finish the 'view from the top' one. I mainly drew this because I was trying to experiment with something less organic. Meaning, I wanted to draw a creature with a gun, but the gun turned out to look like a gas pump... Really, why am I posting things I drew and don't like? Well, I don't really know!! Motivation to draw better, I suppose. I do like the head and the goggles though.....

Evil

This is another old one. I have a lot of these old ones and I''m just trying to show a progression, I guess??? This drawing actually came before the locomotive, kind of the idea behind the locomotive, although this one is far superior. No name, but I imagine this one is evil. Although a lot of them look evil, don't they...

I know they're all simple, but I draw these mainly for technique. The better I draw simple things, the better the more complicated ones will look. Hopefully....

Froud

This is another more recent one. I always loved Brian Froud and wanted to draw like him, but my pictures ended up too sci-fi (aliens, robots, monsters...you know, boy stuff) This is the closest I've gotten to a Froud-ish drawing. Kinda proud of this one...yep...

Although it doesn't really fit into this world I'm creating, but whatever! It shows how much I've improved, you know, since 'female' and 'cocoon' and 'eyeball' (all the old old drawings, you see...)

Thank you!

Female

Apparently, according to a certain someone, my drawings need explanations. So...

This is another old one. I always called this drawing 'female' probably because I had just drawn a series of pictures of alien eggs and cocoons
with strange creatures. Example on left. I don't have an example of any of the eggs yet, as I am painting a scene with such eggs, and when I finish, well, if I finish (I much prefer pencil drawing, you see) then you may see this painting. All of these original cocoon appeared in various notebooks in school and at boring work meetings, etc...

Anyway, back to 'female.' I suppose I could name her Dorothy or something like that, but that defeats the purpose of this mysterious world that I am trying to build, you understand. The world of 'the mysterious ones.' They're not so mysterious with names like Dorothy or Sally or Janet or something. So just female.

Also, she's the first 'female' I've drawn of the creatures, or what I've decided is a female.

First

I haven't drawn in years. Here's the first illustration (I guess this is what it is) since I went to college. Enjoy....Tell your friends...Etc... I will eventually try to sell some prints on Etsy, so stay tuned for that! I might also name each one, but I'm not too sure about that part.
